In her institutional role at NRDC, Anjali Waikar combines her decades-long experiences advancing public interest. This includes working with the organization's Environmental Justice team, serving in private practice in Boston as a litigator and de facto general counsel for nonprofits and healthcare organizations, advancing immigrants’ rights at the ACLU’s Massachusetts affiliate, and advocating for HIV-infected, low-income individuals at legal services in Brooklyn. Based out of NRDC’s Chicago office, Waikar is currently serving as a commissioner of the Cook County Human Rights Commission. She received her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston and her bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
