Ann Alexander

Ann Alexander works to ensure that the much-needed buildout of our electrical grid to support renewable energy is achieved in a way that sustains healthy ecosystems and communities. She also has extensive prior experience at NRDC fighting to curb polluting fossil fuel development. Before joining NRDC, Alexander served as environmental counsel to Illinois attorney general Lisa Madigan, developing environmental initiatives and acting as the attorney general's point person on multistate environmental litigation. She has a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a JD from Columbia University. She is based in San Francisco.
