Anthony Swift's work is primarily concerned with Canadian tar sands development, the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, and other energy-related issues. Swift has testified before Congress and before Canada's National Energy Board. Prior to joining NRDC, he worked as a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he focused on alternative fuels, efficiency standards, and revising the review process for the National Environmental Policy Act. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and political science from Austin College and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Washington, D.C.
