Henry Henderson

Former Director, Midwest Program

Henry Henderson oversaw NRDC's advocacy efforts relating to air, water, energy, and sustainability in eight Midwestern states. Prior to joining NRDC in 2007, he served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Illinois. Henderson was the founding environment commissioner for the city of Chicago, taught environmental law and policy at the University of Chicago, and was a senior fellow at the Great Cities Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He held degrees from Kenyon College, Oxford University, the University of Chicago, and Washington University in St. Louis.
