Senior Trial Attorney
Jerry Epstein focuses on enforcement litigation, including an action to ensure safe drinking water for residents of Newark, New Jersey, and a lawsuit to remediate toxic pollution in a river in Maine. Following a clerkship with a federal district court judge in Washington, D.C., Epstein began his career as a trial attorney with the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He then worked for more than 25 years as a litigator in a national law firm where he served as co-chair of the complex commercial litigation practice group. Epstein holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he was a comment editor on the Law Review. Epstein is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
