Midwest Region Director, Energy Efficiency for All, Healthy People & Thriving Communities Program
Laura Goldberg has being working on energy efficiency and environmental issues in a professional capacity since 2012, and has been with NRDC since 2016. In her current role, Goldberg oversees strategy for increasing energy efficiency and clean energy in affordable multifamily housing and underserved communities across the Midwest. She leads coalitions of housing, energy, health, environmental justice, and renter partners in MI, MN, MO, and IL. Goldberg strives to center racial equity and inclusion in all her work, ensuring her advocacy includes both equitable processes and outcomes. Prior to joining NRDC, Goldberg worked on energy efficiency outreach and education at the Citizens Utility Board of Illinois. Goldberg has a B.A. in international studies with a global environment concentration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is based in NRDC's Chicago office.
