Margaret Hsieh

Managing Litigator

Margaret Hsieh has litigated cases to keep toxics out of food, water, and air; protect public lands and imperiled species; safeguard the right of access to the courts; and promote transparency in government decision-making. Prior to joining NRDC, she clerked for Judge Marsha Berzon on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Allyne Ross on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Hsieh holds a bachelor's degree in literature from Harvard College, a master's degree in social anthropological analysis from University of Cambridge, and a JD from Yale Law School, where she served on the Yale Law Review. She is based in NRDC's New York office.
