Project Manager, SPARCC, Healthy People & Thriving Communities Program
As a project manager in the Healthy People & Thriving Communities program, Marissa Ramirez works with neighbors and local leaders, primarily in underserved locations, to support revitalizing their communities by providing best practices and tools for a more sustainable future. She helps communities obtain the knowledge and power to meaningfully adapt and collectively design solutions to advance local priorities. Previously, Ramirez was a science researcher, and she continues to bring her passion for both human and community health to her professional career. Ramirez has a master's of environmental management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where she focused on urban environmental economics. She also holds a bachelor's in biology from Yale University. She is based in Washington, D.C.
