Sarah Elkotbeid advocates for just and healthy communities for all, so everyone can enjoy clean air and water, fresh produce, green spaces, transit, and economic opportunity no matter their race, income, gender, and ability. Prior to NRDC, Elkotbeid received two bachelor's degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in environmental studies with a concentration in sustainable food systems and agroecology and in feminist studies with a concentration in culture, power, and representation. She is based in NRDC's San Francisco office.
