It’s Past Time for Our Federal Workers to Get Back to Work

WASHINGTON – Following the announcement of an agreement to reopen the government, Ana Unruh Cohen, managing director of government affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council, issued the following statement:

“This government shutdown has been a disaster for federal workers and our fellow citizens since the day it began. Congress and the Trump administration should follow-up this agreement with a long-term plan to fund our government and let workers get back on the job, inspecting factories and food, cleaning up toxic pollution and managing our treasured public lands.”
