Congressional Disapproval Resolution Makes it Clear—EPA Chief Pruitt Must Go

WASHINGTON – One hundred seventy members of Congress led by Sen. Tom Udall of New Mexico and Kathy Castor of Florida today introduced a congressional resolution of disapproval calling for Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt to resign over his ethics lapses and hostility to EPA’s mission to protect public health and the environment.

Scott Slesinger, legislative director of the Natural Resources Defense Council, made the following comment:

“This resolution says what the American people know. Connecting the dots from his polluter agenda to his inexcusable scandals, it’s clear that Scott Pruitt has destroyed his credibility and forfeited his ability to effectively lead the EPA. It’s time for him to go.”
