Governor Cuomo Appoints NRDC’s Dale Bryk as Deputy Secretary for Energy & Environment

Albany, N.Y. – Governor Andrew Cuomo appointed the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Dale Bryk as Deputy Secretary for Energy and Environment. For more than 20 years, Dale has played pivotal roles on NRDC’s climate and clean energy team and has held institutional leadership roles.

A statement follows from Kit Kennedy, Senior Director of Climate and Clean Energy at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC):

“Governor Cuomo could not have made a stronger choice in appointing Dale Bryk Deputy Secretary for Energy and Environment. At a time when so much is at stake, and state leadership critical, we need visionary climate champions like Dale more than ever. For over two decades, she has been a tireless advocate—bringing together stakeholders to organize multi-state climate agreements, working to make enduring progress in clean energy, clean air and water, and climate justice. The environmental community is no doubt all the stronger for her advocacy.

“All of us at NRDC are deeply grateful for her years of leadership, unwavering commitment and friendship. Dale’s energy, inspiring passion and talent will greatly enhance the health and quality of life for all New Yorkers.”
