House Budget An Assault on Our Health and Environment

WASHINGTON (March 25, 2015) – The Republican-led House today passed a 2016 federal budget resolution. David Goldston, director of government affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council, made this comment:

“The House budget continues the Republican leadership and Tea Party assault on our health and the environment by starving needed programs and erecting barriers to environmental progress. The Senate Republican leadership seems to take a similar abysmal approach with numerous Republican amendments pending that would cause unprecedented damage to environmental law—and to our health.”
