Oregon must act on climate in 2019

Oregonians deserve action on climate without further delay

SALEM, OREGON — At a Monday press conference, Oregon Governor Kate Brown committed to continue pursuing climate action after the state legislature failed to vote on its climate bill.

Following is a statement from Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) Senior Western Advocacy Director Annie Notthoff:

“Oregonians all across the state are demanding bold climate solutions, and they deserve state action. There’s no time to waste—and there’s still time in 2019. If Legislators are not able to deliver bold climate action, Governor Brown should take the lead and move forward under her own executive authority."
