President Obama Makes Compelling, Impassioned Case for Combating Climate Change

WASHINGTON (April 18, 2015) – President Obama today made an impassioned case for combating climate change. Below is a statement from Rhea Suh, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“President Obama today reminded us that there’s no shortage of compelling reasons for taking urgent, decisive actions to combat dangerous climate change. And thanks to his leadership, many of the world’s major emitters of carbon pollution are rallying to the cause. The president’s renewed call to action – centered on his historic Clean Power Plan -- bodes well for our national security, our economy, our health and the health of our planet.’’
