Pruitt Has Forfeited the Public’s Trust

News reports in recent days reveal a disturbing pattern in which career professionals at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have been demoted, reassigned or fired after questioning the lavish spending or spurious security practices of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt.

Ana Unruh Cohen, director of government affairs for the Natural Resources Defense Council, made the following statement:

“This is not what democracy looks like. Scott Pruitt has forfeited the trust of the public. Retaliating against dedicated EPA professionals who stand up for good governance is wrong. It’s time to fire Scott Pruitt.”
