Radhika Fox Departing EPA [NRDC Reaction]

WASHINGTON – EPA Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water Radhika Fox announced that she will be leaving the Agency next month.

Following is reaction from NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) Government Affairs Managing Director Alexandra Adams:

“Radhika Fox has worked tirelessly and effectively to protect the nation’s drinking water supplies and water resources. She has been a leader in the effort to improve the drinking water quality for every American family, protect key waters in the country including Alaska’s breathtaking Bristol Bay, and ensure that states and tribes have a meaningful voice in federal permitting decisions affecting their waters.

“She deserves the thanks of everyone in the country who drinks, swims, or enjoys the waterways across the country. Her successor will need to keep up the momentum by completing several key initiatives that are underway, including rules governing lead and 'forever chemicals' in drinking water and discharge standards for major polluting industries like power plants and slaughterhouses.”
