Trump’s Dirty Air Chief Wehrum is Out at EPA

WASHINGTON –The Environmental Protection Agency announced today that Bill Wehrum, the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation, will leave the EPA at the end of June.

The following is a statement from John Walke, Clean Air Director, Climate & Clean Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“Bill Wehrum oversaw the most relentless rollback of clean air, climate and health safeguards in EPA’s history. EPA strengthened not a single meaningful air quality or climate safeguard during his tenure. EPA needs to return to its mission to protect Americans’ health and air quality, and take strong climate action.”
