Vote Reveals Senators Backing Climate Action and Those Opposed

WASHINGTON - The Senate is scheduled to vote today on a measure blocking the Environmental Protection Agency’s Affordable Clean Energy rule, which could increase carbon pollution from dirty power plants, the second largest contributor to climate change.

John Bowman, managing director of Government Affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council, made the following statement:

“This vote to overturn EPA’s do-nothing ACE Rule will identify which senators want to curb the dangerous carbon pollution driving the climate crisis, and which senators support the Trump Administration’s obsession with climate denial and inaction.”
