As NRDC embarked on our Food Matters collaborations with the Cities of Denver and Baltimore, we commissioned landscape assessments of the food rescue ecosystem in both cities. Conducted by Joining Vision & Action! In Denver and the Maryland Foodbank in Baltimore, the assessments describe the current state of food rescue at the city level, strengths and gaps in the food rescue system, and recommendations for make the food rescue system in each city more effective, efficient and responsive to community needs.
