Like the proverbial old man yelling at clouds, President Trump railed against wind power at a campaign-like Iowa rally. "I don't want to just hope the wind blows to light up your house and your factory," he told the crowd. Yes, he really said that…in a state that generates 37 percent of its electricity from wind, the highest rate in the country. But the fact that Trump hates clean energy isn’t news. What's surprising is that he also took the opportunity to tout his latest scheme to put solar panels on his “big, beautiful border” wall—an idea he pitched to congressional Republicans earlier this month. Trump “shark-tanked” the rally audience with the concept, claiming (contrary to expert analysis) that the solar panels would help the wall “pay for itself.” He boasted, “Pretty good imagination, right? Good? My idea.” Um, actually, nope.
