2022 Annual Report Financial Statement

Thanks to our extraordinary community of supporters, NRDC’s programmatic work has played an essential role this year in helping to move the needle—both nationally and internationally—on environmental progress. Through your generous contributions, our highly skilled team of policy experts, advocates, litigators, and scientists had the critical resources necessary to meet today’s monumental challenges head-on—working within existing systems to enact change while striving to change the systems themselves. Together, we passed historic environmental legislation, protected treasured lands and threatened habitats, and advocated, with a strong equity lens, for the health of people and communities.

In fiscal year 2022 (July 1, 2021–June 31, 2022), more than 80 percent of NRDC’s financial resources were directed to our programmatic work. We continue to strengthen our financial standing and carefully steward our assets to ensure our most critical initiatives will thrive through persistent economic and political uncertainty.
