Maya Korb (she/her)

Next Wave Food and Agriculture Fellow, Nature

Maya Korb works to address the overapplication of chemical inputs on agricultural lands that threaten human health and biodiversity while intensifying the climate crisis. She conducts research and supports advocacy related to harmful pesticides and fertilizer overuse. Prior to joining NRDC, Korb worked at the World Bank, supporting governments in West Africa with identifying and managing risks to their agricultural sectors. Korb holds a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia, a master's degree in land and water systems from the University of British Columbia, and a master's degree in climate and society from Columbia University. She is based out of the New York office.
