Newara Brosnan-Faltas (she/her)

Senior Project Associate, High Seas Conservation, Nature

Newara Brosnan-Faltas works on international ocean protection, with a focus on securing the rapid ratification and effective implementation of the new international agreement for ocean conservation and management, known as the High Seas Treaty. Prior to joining NRDC, Brosnan-Faltas worked at the Surfrider Foundation, where she helped advance legislative victories and strengthen public awareness of the connection between ocean health, the planet, and human well-being. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in environmental systems & society from UCLA. Brosnan-Faltas is based in NRDC’s San Francisco office.
