Yahya Yaziji (he/him)

Yahya Yaziji focuses on place-based advocacy in cities and states across the U.S. Yaziji first joined NRDC in 2022 as a program assistant for the Western Energy team. In his current role, Yaziji manages the Intervenor Compensation Program run by the California Public Utilities Commission and is partnering with local environmental groups to form an affordability-focused coalition in the Western region, building on his passion for climate justice. Yaziji is also working with the Southeast place-based team to launch a first-of-its-kind mobility and transportation needs assessment pilot to gage local transportation needs in metro and rural areas across the state of Georgia. Yaziji holds a bachelor's degree in biology with a focus in botany from the College of William and Mary. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
