Amanda Maxwell

Amanda Maxwell oversees NRDC’s environmental and climate strategies in specific, key countries: China, India, and Canada. She also manages NRDC’s engagements in global forums, treaties, and projects that touch down in multiple countries. Prior to this role, Maxwell was the Latin America Project Director in NRDC, and her work focused on promoting clean energy, fostering solutions for water access in vulnerable communities, cleaning up dirty fuels, and protecting wildlife and wildlands throughout Latin America. She received her master's in international politics and economics from Charles University in Prague and her bachelor's degree in history and Spanish from Middlebury College. Maxwell also studied at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C. office.
