Clean Energy Advocate, Midwest Region, Climate & Clean Energy Program
Ariana Gonzalez is an Energy Policy Analyst in NRDC's Midwest Program. Her work is focused on the analysis and advocacy of clean energy in state policies, utility portfolios and Clean Power Plan compliance in Michigan. She has presented to the state's Energy Optimization Collaborative, testified before the Michigan Senate's Energy and Technology Committee, consulted on energy efficiency and renewable energy reports, and helped create and execute a maximum-potential study. As part of NRDC's Energy Efficiency for All project, Gonzalez has helped court investment and shape programs for affordable multifamily housing throughout several midwestern states. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science and environmental policy from Northwestern University and a master's in environmental management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She is based in Chicago.
