Legislative Director, Nature Program
Alexandra Adams serves as the legislative director for NRDC’s Nature program and focuses on congressional and administrative actions that affect the oceans. Her work includes developing strategies to prevent risky offshore oil and gas development, establishing and promoting marine protected areas, designing initiatives to rebuild and sustain our nation’s fisheries and addressing legislative priorities and threats that impact nature. Prior to joining NRDC, Adams held positions at national and regional conservation organizations focusing on climate change adaptation, endangered species, and water resources. She graduated from the University of Florida and received a master’s degree in environmental studies from Brown University. She is based in Washington, D.C.
