NRDC: National Climate Assessment a Full-Body Scan of Climate Hazard and Harm
WASHINGTON - The Biden administration released the Fifth National Climate Assessment, pulling together the most authoritative science to document and detail the rising costs and mounting damage the climate crisis is inflicting nationwide.
Manish Bapna, president and CEO of NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) made the following statement:
“This is the bedrock truth about the rising toll this widening crisis is inflicting on families and communities nationwide. It’s a full-body MRI, the definitive scan of climate hazard and harm in every corner of the country. The patient is suffering, and we all know the cure. It’s time to phase out the fossil fuels that are driving the climate crisis, speed the shift to cleaner ways to power our future and prepare our communities for climate impacts we’re already experiencing.”
