Atid Kimelman litigates cases and advocates for policies to protect the climate by decarbonizing the transportation sector. He previously litigated a wide range of cases as part of NRDC's Litigation team. Prior to joining NRDC, he clerked for Judge William J. Kayatta Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and Judge Maxine M. Chesney on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Yale University and earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He is based in NRDC’s San Francisco office.
