Ian Wells focuses on steel and aluminum decarbonization in New York State. Prior to NRDC, Ian worked for BlueGreen Alliance as a policy advisor covering industrial emissions reduction, hydrogen, and offshore wind. He also has experience working in New York State, both as a senior advisor to the president and CEO of Empire State Development, and on a local level promoting equitable economic development initiatives for the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation. Ian graduated from UCLA and Harvard Law School, and served as Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi.
