Policy Analyst, Water program
Much of Ben Chou’s work takes place at the intersection of climate change and water resources—specifically, looking at how governments are preparing for the former and managing the latter. Prior to joining NRDC in 2011, Chou spent three years at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, where he enforced regulations for the protection of drinking water. He has also worked at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society at Columbia University’s Earth Institute and for the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate and Air Program. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and received his master’s degree from Columbia University. He is based in Santa Monica.
