Mckenna Beck focuses on the decarbonization of the power sector at the state and regional levels, with an emphasis on managing load growth by advancing equitable and responsible policies and regulation. She works with legislatures, governors, utility commissions, state agencies, balancing authorities, and diverse coalition partners to create, enact, and implement climate and clean energy solutions, particularly those which ensure new demand from large loads like data centers is met with with clean, affordable, and reliable electricity. Beck holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in earth systems with a minor in economics from Stanford University. She is based in NRDC's San Francisco office.
