Gabrielle Habeeb (she/her)

Forest Advocate, Nature

Collaborating with a range of partners, Gabrielle Habeeb is working to advance policies to protect the nation’s oldest trees and forests, preserving these natural climate solutions and supporting biodiversity. Prior to joining NRDC, Habeeb worked at Great Plains Institute, where she built coalition support for policies to decarbonize heavy industry. She returns to NRDC as a former member of the Climate & Clean Energy Program, where she supported NRDC’s clean energy advocacy across the Midwest. Habeeb holds a master’s of natural resources in forests and climate change from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s of science in environmental science from Loyola University Chicago. She is based in NRDC’s Chicago office.
