Taking the Trump Administration to Court
For over 50 years, NRDC has been suing polluters in defense of our health and environment—no matter what industry or political stripe those polluters represent. And sometimes we sue the president.
After the Trump administration assumed office in 2017, we witnessed an unprecedented attack on our environmental safeguards: rollbacks to bedrock environmental laws, delayed protections for endangered species, attacks on the science that supports important regulations. But they ran into a barrier: us.
NRDC's lawyers sued at a steady clip—once every 10 days, on average—to protect our children from pesticides, our pristine wild spaces from fossil fuel extraction, our endangered species from threats by special interests, and our rivers and streams from dangerous pollutants.
