Trump administration is proud of itself for rolling back environmental safeguards

In an attempt to change the subject from a failed healthcare repeal, President Trump’s team released a lengthy list of 860 rules it’s currently reviewing or withdrawing. While touted as “regulatory reform,” many of the administration’s listed actions are attacks on the country’s health, safety, and environmental safeguards. The list includes withdrawing or rolling back ozone and methane emissions limits; drinking water standards addressing radon and lead contamination; water-quality standards on Indian reservations; national air-quality standards for a number of hazardous chemicals; the Clean Power Plan, which would reduce climate-change-fueling carbon pollution; and the Clean Water Rule, which would protect the rivers and streams that more than 100 million Americans rely on for drinking water. Job well done?
