Beth Hammon (she/her)

Beth Hammon works to accelerate the electrification of our nation’s transportation sector and help transition to a cleaner and more affordable electric grid. Prior to joining NRDC, she served as a senior policy advisor for the United States Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee and Senator Tom Carper (D-Del). In this role, she was involved with the development and passage of climate, clean air, energy, and tax provisions included in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. She also served as a policy advisor for Congressman Paul Tonko (D-NY) and professional staff member for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Hammon graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy and received a master of science degree in democracy and comparative politics from University College London. She is based in NRDC’s Santa Monica office.
