Doug Sims
Doug Sims has held several senior roles at NRDC and has had managerial, budgetary, and strategic responsibility for teams working on climate finance and place-based, people-centered strategies to improve lives while combatting and preparing for climate change. Recently, he has been a lead convener of green banks and community development financial institutions in support of a common agenda for net zero, inclusive growth. For a decade prior to NRDC, Sims was a project finance attorney at one of the leading global law firms. He represented lenders, governments, and developers in complex energy and infrastructure transactions, mainly in Latin America and Africa. Sims holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School. He is based in NRDC's New York office.
