Tom Hucker

Tom Hucker brings decades of organizing and policy experience to his job as an advocate for safer chemicals, having worked as a community organizer, nonprofit entrepreneur, and a state and local policymaker. As a state legislator, Hucker sponsored successful legislation to ban arsenic additives and promote mercury recycling. He now represents NRDC in two national campaigns to reduce or eliminate phthalates and other dangerous chemicals from food and consumer products. Hucker graduated from Boston College. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is based in Washington, D.C.
