Ann Alexander

Ann Alexander works as a litigator and policy advocate with the Nature Program's Dirty Energy Team—fighting to curb polluting fossil fuel development that threatens the integrity of our public lands, and harms communities living in proximity. Before arriving at NRDC, Alexander served as environmental counsel to Illinois attorney general Lisa Madigan, developing environmental initiatives and acting as the attorney general's point person on multistate environmental litigation. She has a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a JD from Columbia University. She is based in San Francisco.
