Joe Thwaites

Joe Thwaites works to scale up international climate funding, shift finance to be aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goals, and reform international financial institutions to be more effective at supporting climate action. Before joining NRDC, he worked as a climate finance associate at the World Resources Institute. Thwaites has a master’s in global environmental policy from American University and a bachelor's in politics from the University of York. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
