Rita Frost has a passion for protecting forests and the people that depend on them. With more than a decade of organizing experience against extractive corporate interests, Frost focuses on the intersection of energy and land to ensure that bioenergy policy serves forests, communities, and the climate. The power of participatory social change and movement building has borne fruit in Frost's career, and she joins NRDC's Forest team after working with Dogwood Alliance in the southern U.S. She is a 2018 Young Southeast Asian Leadership Professional Fellow and a 2015 graduate of Green Corps. Frost holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster and is based in NRDC's San Francisco office.
