Sophia Ahmed is a policy analyst supporting NRDC’s work on industrial decarbonization, federal emissions standards, and Midwestern policy. Prior to joining NRDC, she worked on various aspects of the clean energy transition at Strategen, Tesla, and the New York City Mayor's Office for Climate Resilience. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics and sustainable development from Columbia University and a master's in sustainability, enterprise, and the environment from the University of Oxford. She is based in NRDC’s Washington, D.C., office.
