Dan West works to defend our nation's bedrock environmental laws and advance federal and international environmental priorities on Capitol Hill. Prior to joining the NRDC in 2017, he worked as a congressional liaison at NASA and as a legislative staffer in the U.S. Senate. He holds a bachelor's in physics from Lewis and Clark College and a master's in public policy from Carnegie Mellon University. He is based in Washington, D.C.
