Deputy Director, Federal Campaigns, Center for Policy Advocacy
Matzner is the deputy director for federal campaigns, focused on designing and implementing campaigns to protect and preserve our natural heritage, wildlife, vibrant oceans, and public health. With a policy background that encompasses public lands, ocean policy, energy, climate, and forestry, he previously served as NRDC’s Beyond Oil Initiate director and associate director of government affairs. Prior to joining NRDC, Matzner was a senior policy analyst for agriculture and the environment at Taxpayers for Common Sense, the budget watchdog organization. He is based in Washington, D.C.
