Fuqiang Yang

Senior Adviser on Climate and Energy, China program

Fuqiang Yang has been involved in energy and environmental issues for more than three decades. From 2008 to 2010, he served as director of global climate solutions for WWF International; prior to that, he spent eight years as the head of Energy Foundation China, which is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions through energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics from China’s Jilin University in 1977 and his PhD in industrial engineering from West Virginia University in 1991. He is based in Beijing.
