Hyoung Mi Kim

Senior Policy Specialist, International Program

Hyoung Mi Kim specializes in energy efficiency and utilities, working on policies, programs, and technologies related to the power and transportation sectors—in particular, demand-side resources and electric vehicles. Prior to joining NRDC, Kim worked with the Korea Energy Economics Institute and United Nations Development Programme Tumen Secretariat based in Beijing. There she focused on regional energy cooperation and energy sector capacity building projects mainly for northeast Asian countries including China, DPRK, Mongolia, ROK, and Russia. She holds a master's in public administration in international development from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a bachelor's in economics from the University of Rochester. She is based in NRDC's Beijing office.
