JingJing Qian works to promote energy efficiency, clean energy use, and stronger environmental policy in China. Since joining NRDC in 2002, she has focused on strengthening the country’s energy and environmental policy, particularly as it relates to urbanization and smart growth, green buildings, and carbon capture and storage. Previously, Qian worked for the United Nations Children’s Fund and the United Nations Development Programme and served in China’s Ministry of Science and Technology. She holds a master’s degree in environmental technology from Imperial College London, and a second master’s in chemical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is based in NRDC’s Beijing office.
