Food Policy Advocate, Sustainable Agriculture and Antibiotics, Health and Food, Healthy People & Thriving Communities Program
Lena Brook uses her background in advocacy and communications to influence decision makers of all types, from elected officials to parents to doctors, to fight the overuse of antibiotics in agriculture and the resulting problem of antibiotics resistance. Prior to joining NRDC, Brook worked as a strategic communications consultant and as codirector of the Northern California chapter of the Healthy Food in Health Care initiative, sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. She is based in San Francisco.
