Pete DeMarco

Senior Attorney

Pete DeMarco has litigated cases related to pesticides, drinking water, hydrofluorocarbons, and trash pollution in the Anacostia River. Prior to joining NRDC, DeMarco clerked for Judge Theodore D. Chuang on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and worked as a staff attorney at Georgetown University Law Center’s Institute for Public Representation. He also previously worked on NRDC’s litigation team as a Ford Foundation Fellow. DeMarco holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Furman University, a master’s degree in African studies from the University of Ghana, a master’s degree in environment and resources from Stanford University, and a JD from Stanford Law School. He is based in NRDC’s Washington, D.C., office.
